Service projects are usually church-wide events that are heavily publicized in advance of the actual event. We strive to make our service projects engaging, fun, educational, social and inclusive of all ages and abilities. Various teams in the church have sponsored service projects through the years.
We’ve assembled and packed 10,000 meals for the Stop Hunger Now organization that distributes the food to areas of our world where people are in need due to weather events (hurricanes, floods, tsunamis, earthquakes).
Another fun service project involved decorating, stuffing and boxing duffel bags for Together We Rise. This is an organization dedicated to making sure children in the Foster Care program aren’t putting their belongings in trash bags when they are being relocated from one house to another.
