We need your help with these jobs:

  • Dessert Donation: Please donate a favorite dessert to the auction! Please prep as single servings. Note if it is dairy/gluten free. No nuts, please. Deliver on 5/5 or email uucnauction@gmail.com
  • Main Set-Up: Help us to set up chairs, tables, and decorate the auditorium and hallways for the Auction and Gala!
  • Set-Up Silent Auction: Help move out furniture and bring tables up to the Youth Room, & organize the silent auction displays.
  • Assistant Cooks: Help our lead cook prepare the food to be served to the auction guests! Only basic cooking and food prep skills necessary!
  • Bake Sale Organizer: Help sellers get set-up to sell baked goods in the Auditorium. Help arrange the table and check-in with the seller during the evening. Does not require sitting at table this whole time.
  • Servers: Bring food from the kitchen to the auditorium. Make your way around the auditorium, offering auction guests food and checking to refill. You are welcome to participate in the silent auction as you mill about!
  • Barkeepers – We need folks to help serve drinks to attendees! You will be in the “room where it happens” for the Bid and Bumps and Live auction.
  • Silent Auction Keeper: Monitor the silent auction, help guests find what they’re looking for! You will be oriented & responsible for collecting bid sheets as the silent auction closes. The Live Auction starts after the silent auction.
  • Bid and Bump Board Helper: You will take care of documenting the bids on 1 bid & bump item. Training will be provided (it’s simple, no worries). Will require you to stay near the board assigned to you during this time.
  • Food Clean-Up Crew: Bring dishes down from the auditorium, run them through the dishwasher, put them away. YOU WILL NOT NEED TO DO THIS FOR THE ENTIRE 3 HOUR TIME FRAME. This is a task that can be done several times through the night in short bursts of activity.
  • Break Down/Sweep Up Crew: At the end of the event, put away chairs. Take down decorations. Break down tables and get them back to where they belong. Sweep up the floors in both the auditorium & dining room.
