WE DID IT!

May 15, 2023 Capital Campaign Update:

We are so excited to share that we have surpassed our $2.2 million Capital Campaign goal, with 123 commitments totaling $2,286,356. We completed our commitment challenge just in time, and the extra $100,000 pushed us past the $2.2 million mark.  The work we want to do totals more than $2.2 million, so each dollar will help us do a little more to realize our vision.

2017:  Core Values, Mission, & Ends Statements were adopted by the congregation. Learn more

2019 – 2020:  VISION PHASE

The Building Our Vision (BOV) Team was commissioned to create a future vision for our church buildings & campus that aligned with our new Values, Mission, and Ends. Learn more about the BOV Team.

The BOV team members and Board of Trustees reviewed feedback from listening sessions to construct a Vision Statement, presented at the Annual Meeting in June 2020. The Church Campus Vision Statement was formally accepted by the Congregation on November 15, 2020.

2021 – 2022:  DESIGN PHASE

Request for Proposals (RFPs) were sent to architectural firms. Six proposals were received and four firms were selected for follow-up interviews and reference checks. The BOV Team selected Dennis Mires, P.A., The Architects to guide us through the process of translating our Vision Statement into several proposed designs. The focus was on five key design areas, and the BOV Team launched a design task-force for each. Five design task forces, made up of members from the congregation, worked with the architects on the design. In November 2022 a presentation was made to the congregation consisting of three proposed plans: Core, Welcoming, & Visionary. Learn more about the plans.

On November 20, 2022 the Visionary Plan was selected with 89% vote by the congregation.

2023:  CAPITAL CAMPAIGN

A Financial Feasibility Study was done by Mark Ewert, a stewardship consultant, in December 2022. In January 2023, based on that study, the Board of Trustees recommended a goal of $2.2 Million for the Capital Campaign. On March 5, 2023 the congregation voted to launch the Capital Campaign for $2.2 Million.
