Our dearest UU Nashua Community,
Church email scams are continuing to increase nationwide and our congregation is no exception. Many of you may be familiar with emails seemingly coming from Rev. Allison asking you if you have a moment to respond and to send gift cards or money to her to help someone in need. Some of you may have received emails from our board president, Lindsey Hedrick, or other members of the congregation, asking you to send the church directory.
It is extremely important for you to know that NO ONE from the staff or the board will be emailing you to ask you to send money.
You should NEVER send the church directory to anyone via email, even if it is someone you believe to be known to you or the church. Per our Database Policy, if anyone asks you for a copy of the directory, please forward it to the church office (uucnoffice@uunashua.org). All members of the church have access to Breeze, our church database. Ericka LaValley, our church administrator, will verify their identity and can give them access if they are unable to log in to their Breeze account.
Please always be careful and cautious about responding to any email that asks you for money or contact information in any form, or that comes from an address that you don’t recognize- always verify the sender email address. All staff emails will end in “@uunashua.org”. If you have any doubts, always feel free to forward the email to Ericka in the church office (uucnoffice@uunashua.org) or Rev. Allison Palm (minister@uunashua.org).
Warmly,
Church Staff
