“How much should I give?” This is not an unusual question, but there’s no one answer across the board. We hope you can be generous with your financial resources in a way that gives you joy in recognizing your part in furthering our mission. We ask each member of the congregation to make a financial commitment each year to support the work of our congregation. We have no minimum for what you can give and no maximum! Below are examples of how some families think about their giving, in the hopes that one or more might resonate with you:

  • My spouse and I budget about the same amount we spend on groceries every month because they both fill us up.
  • I chose a monthly bill to match, and each year I try to pick on just a little bit higher.
  • We pledged a moderate amount when we first joined, and give 1% more each year.
  • The church is a huge part of our lives, and we want it to continue to thrive. We know that operating costs increase  each year and the church tries to accomplish more in its programs each year, so we aim to increase our pledge every year.
  • When we became more aware of the many things that cost money here at the church we took a closer look at our giving and increased it as we thought about the value church brings to our lives.
  • I try to match the amount I spend on my physical self like the gym and clothes, and try to pledge about the same.
  • As my partner and I enter our “golden years,” we have discovered the church is more important to us than ever. And because it is a priority in our lives, making our annual pledge is a priority in our budget. We may not be able to increase our pledge (due to our fixed income), but it’s important to us to continue to support our church as generously as we are able.
