What a weekend we had!
On Saturday, nine of us attended the Northern New England District’s Annual Meeting up in Concord, NH. We worshipped and learned together with other UUs from New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine, and in the afternoon we took care of the business of the NNED, voting on bylaws, board members and more.
As the UUA moves toward regionalization (in addition to being part of the NNED, we are a part of the New England Region), the NNED Board is trying to figure out what its role is and how to best serve the congregations of Northern New England. I was elected as the new Secretary for the NNED Board this weekend, and am looking forward to being a part of this transition.
And then, on Sunday was our big celebration! What a joy it was to be with all of you and to be formally installed as your minister. I am so grateful to all the many, many people and hours that went into making it such a beautiful and meaningful day. And I will never forget your carefully orchestrated flash mob! What a way to celebrate and honor our new shared ministry.
Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart, for being the thoughtful, courageous, curious, loving and FUN people that you are.
Blessings,
Allison
