Rev. Allison Palm is a lifelong Unitarian Universalist and a Minnesota native. She has served as the settled minister at the UU Church of Nashua since August 2015.
Welcome to another installment in my Question Box series! One of you asked “What are we here for?” There are multiple ways this could be interpreted. Since I get to choose, I am going to give you my answer to this version: What are we (UUCN) here for? Why does this congregation exist? What are … Continue reading What are we here for?
One of the challenging things about having a new minister (or being new to the church) is that you don’t always know when it’s worth reaching out. I am always happy to hear from you! As a reminder, I am available for appointments Sunday-Wednesday. I typically schedule at least a week out, unless it is … Continue reading When to Reach Out to your Minister
Happy Ash Wednesday! I know that’s probably not the correct salutation for Ash Wednesday – a solemn day when Christians remember that “from dust we come, and to dust we shall return.” But I have grown to appreciate Lent (the season that begins today) over the past few years, and this year I feel almost … Continue reading #UULent
You can’t miss the fact that we are just a few days away from the primary here in New Hampshire. I have to admit that I’ve been a bit removed from all the primary craziness. Our lack of a land line and TV at home have sheltered me from the worst of it. Add to … Continue reading Voting as an Act of Faith

At the December Board meeting, Sandra provided a status report on the interim work completed thus far, and recommended that … Continue reading Updates on our Interim DLRE Process
I promised I would answer some of the unanswered Question Box questions (from January 3) here on our church blog. I’d like to start with one from one of our younger members (age 7). She asks: “Why is the church so special?” There are a lot of reasons that our church is a special place, but … Continue reading Why is the church so special?
Happy New Year and welcome to our month of resistance! Throughout January, we’ll be exploring together the question: What does it mean to be a people of resistance? It is a rich topic for a month in which we often both make and break our New Year’s Resolutions—first committing to resisting temptation, and often ending … Continue reading January’s Theme: Resistance

He says, “You have to expect things of yourself before you can do them.” Well, as I’ve listened to you, I have heard a lot of your expectations for this church. As your President, I have the … Continue reading Stewardship Expectations
