Pastoral Care Associates
Welcome to the Pastoral Care Associates section of the UUCN website! This will let you get to know what the Pastoral Care Associates are and how they may help you.
How do the Pastoral Care Associates help the church community?
-
We assist Rev. Allison in fulfilling her pastoral responsibilities to the congregation.
-
We are there to to assist ill, incapacitated, or troubled church members with support or pastoral care as needed on a short-term or emergency basis.
-
We hold space for those making a transition in their life whether it is a difficult transition or a joyful one.
-
We listen to what someone needs to share. That conversation is considered confidential unless we are given permission to share it or if a matter of safety is involved.
-
We stay in touch with those congregants who are longer able to attend services.
-
We light candles during Joys and Sorrows.
-
We follow up with joys or sorrows that are expressed during Sunday worship
-
We send cards, make telephone calls or visit with those in need.
-
We offer workshops on a variety of topics relating to pastoral care. These workshops are open to the congregation.
