Daring Democracy NH
Vision:
To move NH to a better version of a functional democracy while creating a humane form of capitalism, where all residents have an equal voice and individuals, corporations, and organizations are not allowed to purchase power in our political systems. A place where our checks and balances are strengthened, reinforced and enforced and where all citizens are equitably represented.
Mission:
- To educate and inform the general public of the intentional assault on our democracy.
- To connect our allies to work together in a more cohesive and powerful way.
- To outreach to the uninformed, misinformed, and the apathetic.
- Create safe space for the curious to ask questions and dialogue.
- To coordinate and engage in meaningful action as outlined in our
vision/mission statement.
Causes we are working on:
(always available for expansion based on appropriateness and resources to do so.)
- Ranked Choice Voting
- Independent Districting
- Elimination of out of state $
- CLEAN ELECTIONS (TRANSPARENCY)

Here are the various roles people can take on in this group:
Facilitator (this role is currently filled): Works with strategist and coordinators and runs main meeting. Reaches out to build DDIA strategic partnerships, arranges trainings, and grow “chapters”.
Strategist: Spearhead’s one of goals, and keep the group informed of actions we can take in that area.
Coordinator: someone from extension groups outside the core group who informs and works with the activist of their group in their area. Reports on anything happening in their area that the group should be made aware of. Also attends biweekly meetings to keep their activist in the loop. May create a zoom in where any of their activist interested can watch together.
Activist: They take the actions, as feasible, recommended, to move the agenda forward. That might be make a call, send a postcard, write an email, attend a rally or march, or testify at a hearing.
