The Lil’ Free Farmstand at UU Nashua kicks off next Saturday, July 18! To help us get up and running, we are seeking the UU Nashua community’s help to stock our farmstand. We are also seeking volunteers to work the farmstand on Saturdays throughout the season.
At the start of each season, we often have less food available to us from the gardeners, and the farms often won’t allow us to purchase so early on in the season. Because of this, we are seeking your help to supplement our farmstand’s supply for the start of our season.
We are looking for items such as onions, potatoes, rice, beans, carrots, etc. These items can be grown in your own garden or store bought. The food will be stored in the refrigerator during the week and our attendees will put the food out on the stand July 18 and 25. You can bring your produce to UU Nashua on Sunday July 12 and July 19, and place it in the basket in the narthex and dining room before/after the service.
If you would like to donate to GrowNashua to support the purchase of produce for the farmstands, you can do so by clicking here.
