UUCN’s Plan for COVID19

UUCN’s Plan for COVID19

THURSDAY UPDATE  for UUCN’s Plan for COVID-19

This Sunday’s worship service on March 15th will be held entirely online out of an abundance of caution regarding the status of the Covid-19 virus.  Other events planned for this weekend have also been postponed, including Faith Formation and scheduled workshops. We will continue to update you regarding future Sunday Services and programs, so please watch for communications from church staff.

To make these decisions, the church staff and Board leadership have been closely monitoring the emerging situation with respect to the Covid-19 virus, using input from multiple sources, including the CDC, the National Institutes of Health, and the NH Department of Health.  We as a church community take to heart the importance of our being able to provide mutual support and caring to one another during uncertain or anxious times. We hope that you’ll be able to join us online to get that support. After the online service this Sunday, we will set up smaller chat rooms within the Zoom that we hope will allow for sharing and conversation.

Here is the information that will allow you to attend the Sunday service on Zoom:

If you find that you have been affected, directly or indirectly, by recent events surrounding Corvid-19, please feel free to reach out to the Pastoral Care Team. You can contact them by email at uucnpastoralcare@gmail.com. As always, we support and encourage you to make decisions that will protect your health and that of your family.

Across our country and our world, we are dealing with the unfolding COVID-19 pandemic. This is not the first crisis we as a nation or world have met and it will not be the last. Yet we have survived and will continue to survive together. Though the immediate threat in Nashua is unknown at the moment, circumstances are changing every day, and it may feel hard to figure out how to feel and what to do. You may be feeling a lot of intense emotions right now. This is normal and understandable, but you are not alone. Those feelings can be overwhelming and create uncertainty as to the best course of action for you to take. All of this is normal. Please be kind and patient with yourself and others.

With peace and love,

Your UU Nashua Staff and Board Leadership
